Within its scope of activity the Administrative department deals especially with: - monitoring and studying the conditions in the nature and environment, preparing protection measures and promoting activities for environment and nature protection - developing plans and monitoring the implementation of documents of nature and environment protection -establishing a local network for permanent monitoring of the condition in the environment on the territory of the County (air quality, the quality of local waters and drinking water from individual springs that are not a part of the public system of water management, soil pollution, environmental noise) - developing and monitoring the measures for waste management - developing and monitoring the programmes for environmental and nature protection, suggesting the measures for protection of the County’s protected areas, taking care of the protection of biological and landscape diversity on the territory of the County taking part in the development of a plan for the management of the County’s protected areas - supporting the activities of trade’s and other organisations whose services have the aim to promote the necessity of the environmental and nature protection - other jobs when regulated by special law, other rules, an act by the County assembly or the County government.
